At Esparto Wrestling, we are dedicated to nurturing local youth athletes aged 6 to 18 in a supportive and encouraging environment. Our mission is to empower young wrestlers through the development of fundamental skills, confidence, and camaraderie. We believe that youth wrestling programs not only enhance physical abilities, but also instill valuable life lessons in teamwork and discipline.

Curtis Lawrence
Curtis is President of Esparto Wrestling, where he is passionate about creating a positive and empowering environment for young athletes. With 17 years of experience in wrestling, he has not only competed but also dedicated his time to mentoring aspiring wrestlers. Curtis is actively involved in the Yolo County fire service, which reflects his commitment to community engagement.

In my role, I focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, striving to build a supportive community where youth can thrive both on and off the mat. I truly believe in the transformative power of wrestling to instill discipline, confidence, and resilience in young people.

Tara and her husband, Chris, have four children and have lived in Esparto since 2019. Over the years, Tara has become more involved in the community. Every year Tara looks forward to wrestling season because it develops leadership skills and teaches discipline and accountability.
